An opportunity to join an industry leading, global business has arisen. As the senior financial accountant, this individual will support the corporate finance function and partner with various business unit finance teams.
The responsibilities
Reporting into a Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Preparation of various annual financial reports and statements.
- Reviewing various accounting transactions and preparation of accounting papers with the relevant year end disclosures
- Preparation of Board Packs for financial reporting purposes
- Review and reconcile various balance sheet accounts such as prepayments, workers comp, accrued expenses, provisions and clearing accounts
- Prepare and post of journal entries including accruals, prepayments, consolidation elimination, one-off large transactions
- Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis and commentary;
- Finance Business Partnering with various leaders for monthly forecasting, quarterly reviews and annual budgeting process
- Liaise with and manage the audit process
- Involvement in group consolidation and group level reporting.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional with exposure to a large and complex corporate finance environment. You will have a Big 4/Mid-tier chartered background with some business services exposure or 3-5 years of relevant commercial experience. Also, you will have hands on experience preparing general purpose financial statements.
