Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to join a dynamic banking client. In this role, you will manage and oversee the release lifecycle, ensuring that software changes are successfully implemented with minimal risk and impact on production environments. You will play a critical role in coordinating with various teams to maintain high standards of software delivery across multiple concurrent work streams. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire release process across all software changes within the bank.
- Ensure software changes undergo proper assurance and control measures as per release standards.
- Plan and coordinate the release lifecycle, integrating various software changes across multiple delivery streams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including change management, to align the release with broader delivery plans.
- Define and schedule release code promotion, ensuring each delivery stream adheres to release standards.
- Confirm deployment readiness based on stakeholder decisions (SO/PO).
- Coordinate post-go-live support and incident resolution during the release warranty period.
- Oversee customer/user releases for on-demand projects and resolve any associated issues.
Necessary:
- Proven experience in release management within software delivery.
- Strong understanding of software delivery methods and processes.
- Knowledge of service management principles and best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
- Experience with release management tools such as Plutora, Jira, and Confluence.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficient in Agile delivery methods and change management processes.
- Team player who fosters a cohesive team environment.
- Experience with SAFe methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices.
- Banking industry experience.
- Experience managing releases for data migration projects (on-prem to cloud).
