Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for driving system implementation projects? This role offers the opportunity to lead the deployment of a cutting-edge research system that integrates with existing enterprise platforms. You’ll oversee project cadences, governance, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring successful delivery and a smooth transition to a permanent Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end implementation of a research system, integrated with an enterprise platform (e.g., PeopleSoft), to meet project objectives and timelines.
- Establish and maintain project cadences, including scheduling, governance structures, and milestone tracking.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team, including a Business Analyst and Change Manager, to ensure project success.
- Facilitate communication and alignment among stakeholders, addressing challenges and promoting system adoption.
- Oversee the handover process to a permanent Project Manager, ensuring continuity and clarity.
- Report on progress to senior leadership and effectively manage risks and issues.
- Proven experience managing system implementation projects, ideally in research or higher education environments.
- Strong understanding of integration projects involving ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft or similar).
- Expertise in managing project cadences, governance, and stakeholder alignment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive successful outcomes.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies preferred.
- Previous experience managing projects within universities or research organisations.
- Knowledge of research tools, ethics platforms, or grant management systems.
