Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, interviews, and examinations.
- Identify potential or existing problems and discuss care plans with patients and families.
- Provide post-natal exercises, education, and domiciliary midwifery visits.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to monitor patient progress, review diagnostics, and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Facilitate smooth patient discharges and ensure post-hospital care needs are met.
Key Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in Midwifery units
- Do you have the secret decoder rings?
- Valid FSEP Level 3? Check!
- Neonatal RESUS? Double check!
- PROMPT training? You bet! (We know these trainings cost an arm and a leg, but hey, you can’t put a price on saving lives!)
- And let’s not forget the golden ticket: AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife. Because what’s a superhero without their official badge?
