About the role: 
The Project Accountant will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and process efficiency within logistics and supply chain operations. This role involves reviewing financial and system entries, liaising with key stakeholders, conducting site visits, and identifying opportunities for process improvement or risk mitigation. 

Key Responsibilities:    

• Review processes and system entries to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Engage with stakeholders, including a 3rd Party, to discuss financial and operational matters.
• Conduct regular site visits (weekly) to perform financial checks, cycle counts, and audits.
• Analyse data and identify opportunities for improvement or implement compensating controls to mitigate financial risks.
• Assist in the reconciliation of financial records related to logistics and inventory.
• Support project reporting, budgeting, and cost control processes.
• Ensure alignment with financial regulations, internal policies, and reporting standards.

Requirements:  

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in project accounting, financial analysis, or supply chain finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with finance, operations, and logistics teams.
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
• Experience with inventory accounting, reconciliations, and cost control is desirable
