The Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. This is a diverse, hands-on accounting role combining commercial exposure with compliance-focused responsibilities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across investments, legal, and project teams in a dynamic and supportive environment.
  
Responsibilities
  • Full-function accounting duties across multiple entities
  • Accounts payable, receivable, and supplier/customer management
  • Payment processing and bank reconciliations
  • Month-end close, reporting, and ledger maintenance
  • BAS/IAS preparation and lodgement
  • Financial and management reporting
  • Project-based accounting for property developments
  • Partnering with Development Managers and business teams
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis
  • Tax compliance across companies, JVs, and trusts
  • Financial statement preparation and year-end support
  • Assistance with tax consolidations and technical accounting matters
  • Providing ad-hoc accounting support across the wider business
The Candidate
  • CA/CPA qualified 
  • Strong technical and practical accounting skills
  • Confident in reviewing and interpreting financial information
  • Experience with systems such as MYOB, Xero, or Sage Intacct is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Highly organised with strong time management
  • Team-focused and proactive in approach
Desirable Attributes
  • Experience within the property or construction sectors
  • Background in public practice, ideally with exposure to property groups or joint ventures
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax compliance
  • High attention to detail and analytical mindset
