We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Production Manager to lead operations at a Regional Victoria site. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency of manufacturing processes, maintaining stringent quality standards, and driving a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team, manage day-to-day operations, and play a key role in achieving production targets and optimising workflows. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a highly dynamic and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team to meet production targets efficiently.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee operational processes to maintain optimum efficiency and productivity.
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to optimise operations.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to drive employee development.
- Analyse data and prepare reports to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations.
- Plan and execute strategies to achieve site goals, including budget control and resource allocation.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience managing a team within a food manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent numerical and computer skills, along with familiarity with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of HSE, QA, and mechanical equipment standards.
- Qualification in Engineering, Science or Food Technology desired but not essential.
