A global food manufacturing business with household names who has a strong emphasis on innovation to ensure they are always making great tasting foods in an efficient manner. They are looking for a Process Engineer - Continuous Improvement at a regional location in Victoria.
About the Role
As the Process Engineer, you will identify, prioritise and execute
continuous improvement opportunities throughout the plant. The key to this role will be the ability to take ideas from concept through to completion, with strong project planning and facilitation skills. Collaboration with other departments will be the key to success, in particular with the CI team - as well as a thirst for knowledge and understanding through in depth research and strong scientific reasoning / trialling.
To be successful in the role you will need to be a self starter with a strong understanding of plant processes and efficiencies, so that you are able to identify opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities
- Project Management: To overlay adequate technical ‘due diligence’ and successfully project manage initiatives.
- Using established project management skills, facilitate the journey from ideation through to implementation.
- Insights & Analysis: Bringing industry, market, and commercial insights, identify opportunities relating to product, packaging, and process.
- After careful and considered analysis, wrap up the opportunity into a ‘saleable package’, establishing support to progress from key decision makers and stakeholders.
- Proactively help build and promote a safety culture across the National teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.
- Demonstrated experience in complex project management.
- Minimum 3 years in process optimisation, preferably in food manufacturing or a similar regulated environment.
- Ability to communicate, influence and build relationships within internal and external networks.
