They primarily deal in the storage, handling, processing, and marketing of agricultural products, becoming one of the leading agribusinesses in Australia and leading the way in sustainable agriculture.
Responsibilities of the role
- Lead and develop a high performing team - Mentor a team of site-based process engineers, nurturing their development and furthering their professional growth to enhance team capabilities and performance.
- Drive process optimisation - lead initiatives to identify, analyse, and rectify inefficiencies in processes; leveraging continuous improvement methodologies to achieve operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams - engage with various site teams to systematically identify opportunities to minimise waste, reduce operational losses, and mitigate process variations.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise data analytics and performance metrics to assess process efficiency, make informed decisions, and drive continuous improvement efforts across all operational aspects.
- Safety and Compliance Oversight: Ensure that all process engineering activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering;
- Strong Leadership & People Management – Passion for developing and nurturing talent;
- Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement tools, such as Lean Six Sigma;
- Demonstrated background in industrial or food manufacturing environment;
- Project experience - process design, specification, commissioning, and start up;
- Knowledge of process safety requirements.
