About the Role:
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will drive a continuous improvement culture that embraces plant efficiency, effectiveness and reliability. Your role involves hands-on management of the maintenance team, servicing and modification of plant and equipment to a safe and operational standard to ensure operating requirements and capital improvement projects are achieved. Key Responsibilities:
- Plant and equipment maintenance to be undertaken in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and statutory requirements to enable efficient and safe operation.
- Liaise with Production Managers and operators, maintenance workers and engineering employees to ensure issues with plant operations are resolved as rapidly as possible.
- Ensure the CMMS Preventative Maintenance programme is fully developed, the schedule in place and actively utilised.
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to the maintenance team.
- Lead and support CI activities to reduce complexity and improve reliability.
- Support execution of capital projects and the upgrade of the plant as required.
- Proven track record in leading and managing a maintenance team within a food, industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a commitment to continuous improvement of skill development and work performance.
- Aptitude to maintenance complex process equipment, good problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience with CMMS - MEX
- Degree or trade qualification (engineering/mechanical)
