About the Role
As Plant Manager, you will report to the Manufacturing Manager and oversee the Melbourne plant of around 25 personnel. You will be directly responsible for driving operational excellence activities, compliance and operations of the site including facilities management, while working closely with all divisions of the business to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all. A strong focus of this role will be driving the development of team members and foster a culture of excellence. The successful candidate will be a results-driven leader with a proven track record in manufacturing management and will have the ability to build internal and external relationships.
You will be a hands-on leader that leads by example and is comfortable with being a self-starter and running an autonomous management role.
Skills & Experience
- Ideally be qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing or similar with extensive experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Management of dangerous goods facility essential.
- Ability to lead the site autonomously.
- Prior ERP & MRP based production and purchasing systems experience.
- Strong, proven developed people leadership skills.
- Strong Occupational Heal and Safety focus with proven advocacy and oversight of such.
