Within the international trade and development sector, this organisation is going from strength to strength and require the skills of an experienced Payroll Manager to join their fast-paced team. Job Responsibilities  

Reporting into the Finance Manager, this role has 1 direct report with key tasks involving:

• Provide a high level of current technical understanding to support and advise on payroll implementation and workflow methodology
• Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all weekly, fortnightly and monthly Payroll
• Develop and/or modify payroll procedures and checklists and apply best practice methodology, to ensure that payroll activities are carried out accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain a well-developed understanding of and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policy frameworks (including awards and Enterprise Agreement reviews)
• Internal stakeholder reporting as required
• Driving continuous improvements and efficiencies across the payroll function
• Other ad-hoc duties as required

  
Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Payroll Manager position along with the following skills and attributes:

• Previous experience in full function Payroll processing
• Proven experience interpreting complex EBAs and Awards
• Understanding of payroll system implementation 
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience working in a medium to large organisation
• Proven process improvement initiatives
