The Role

Reporting to the Director of HR, you will be responsible for:
  • Leading and mentoring a team of 8 talented Payroll Officers
  • Managing end-to-end payroll of over 4000 employees (fortnightly and monthly)
  • Calculating and completing all external reporting and compliance for payroll including Single Touch Payroll reporting, payroll tax, workers compensation premium payments, long service leave and superannuation
  • Manage month-end and year-end requirements according to prescribed timelines
  • Maintain processes and practices that ensure the integrity and accuracy of the payroll and employee data
  • Maintain an up to date understanding of all relevant Awards, Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, and Acts pertaining to payroll.
  • Implementing payroll project and identifying process improvements
  • Upholding high customer service standards and protocols across the business
  • Partnering and developing strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders

Candidate Profile

You will have extensive experience in a hands-on payroll management role along with the following attributes:
  • Strong understanding of SuccessFactors (EC/ECP)
  • Knowledge of multiple awards/EBAs
  • High level problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
