The Organisation:
Our client is a market leader in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration. With a history that spans over 100 years, they are a well established and respected organisation. They are on the lookout for a skilled Payroll Manager to oversee the new payroll function, and play a key part in assisting in streamlining and problem-solving. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while complying with all regulatory requirements. This is an exciting role for an immediately available candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for:
- Managing a weekly payroll of 400
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, including superannuation and taxation.
- Lead and mentor payroll staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
- Ensure accurate payroll reporting and compliance with relevant regulations. Prepare necessary documentation for audits.
- Take a lead role with the transition to a new payroll system
- Identify and implement opportunities for improving payroll processes and policies.
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven payroll experience in a similar role, along with the following skills and attributes:
- The ability to liaise with a multitude of stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of payroll practices, legislation, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in payroll software/HRIS and Microsoft Office. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to develop and motivate teams, with exceptional communication skills.
- Strong numeracy and accuracy, capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Impeccable communication skills.
