In a vitally important leadership role, our client is looking for an experienced payroll lead to oversee their large payroll function. Job Duties
Reporting into the Head of Payroll, the role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:
- Developing, mentoring and leading a large payroll team
- Overseeing the end to end payroll processing and providing hands on support when required (fortnightly pay run)
- Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiency
- A clear focus and improvement on payroll compliance
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Preparation of monthly payroll journals
- Provide ongoing training
- Ensure relevant awards and legislation are interpreted
- Potentially assist with the development and implementation of a new payroll software package
The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar sized Payroll Manager position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Proven experience leading and managing large teams
- Ideally have utilised either SAP or led a payroll function within the healthcare industry
- Established experience working within a medium / large sized organisation
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Proven process improvement initiatives
- Senior leadership role
