Job Duties
Reporting into the CFO, the role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:
  • Weekly processing and payment of 800+ employee salaries and wages across 3 separate payrolls
  • Maintaining the payroll database and providing technical support and advice
  • Applying award and legislative rules to the payroll system and having up to date knowledge of requirements across all states
  • Checking data integrity between the HR system and Payroll System
  • Preparing monthly reports for Superannuation, Payroll Tax
  • Producing monthly leave entitlement reports
  • Maintaining Child Support Agency, PPL, Workcover PIAWI.
  • Superannuation Stapling
  • PRODA (Services Australia)
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar Payroll Manager position along with the following skills and attributes:
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills with a proven ability to positive influence 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
  • Strong analytical skills with a forward thinking & solution focused mindset 
  • Effective time management & organisational skills
  • Prior experience with system implementations / integrations
  • Exposure to pay runs in both Australia & New Zealand is advantageous
