The Role:

Payroll Manager (Part-Time | Flexible)

A dynamic and growing company is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to take full ownership of payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This is a newly created role within the Finance team, working closely with HR, offering the opportunity to shape and streamline payroll processes from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a growing team across Australia & New Zealand, with potential future expansion across APAC.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax requirements, payroll policies, and best practices.
  • Utilize Employment Hero and other payroll systems to maintain accurate records.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex payroll issues and act as the key point of contact for payroll-related queries.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture, Finance, and Operations to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG, and compliance reporting.

Skills & Experience:
  • Extensive payroll experience in Australia and New Zealand (APAC experience is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax laws, and best practices.
  • Background in Business, Finance, or Accounting (Payroll certifications are highly regarded).
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in payroll calculations.
  • Proficiency in Employment Hero, ADP, Workday, or similar payroll systems.
  • Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets for payroll data management.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
