Job Duties
Reporting into the Head of Payroll, the role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:
- Developing, mentoring and leading a payroll function that incorporates both compliance and BAU
- Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiency
- A clear focus and improvement on payroll compliance
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Preparation of monthly payroll journals
- Provide ongoing training
- Ensure relevant awards and legislation are interpreted
- Potentially assist with the development and implementation of a new payroll software package
The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar sized Payroll Manager position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Proven experience leading payroll functions
- Ideally have utilised SAP, Employee Central or worked within the healthcare sector
- Established experience working within a medium / large sized organisation
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Proven process improvement initiatives
- Senior leadership role
