The Role:

A leading organization is seeking a Payroll Remediation Specialist to play a critical role in ensuring payroll compliance and accuracy. This role will focus on gathering, analyzing, and interpreting payroll data, identifying gaps, and developing a comprehensive remediation strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Gathering & Analysis – Collect, review, and interpret payroll data to identify errors or discrepancies.
  • Gap Identification – Conduct audits to pinpoint inconsistencies, non-compliance issues, and process inefficiencies.
  • Methodology Development – Create a structured approach for obtaining and analyzing payroll data.
  • Remediation Planning – Develop a clear and effective plan to rectify errors and ensure compliance.
  • Stakeholder Communication – Present findings and recommendations to finance, HR, and leadership teams.
  • Error Correction & Implementation – Execute remediation strategies, ensuring accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Compliance & Best Practices – Stay up to date with legislative requirements and ensure payroll practices align with current regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Extensive payroll experience, with a strong background in compliance and remediation.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret complex payroll data.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems such as Employment Hero, ADP, Workday, or similar.
  • High attention to detail with a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Previous experience in payroll remediation projects or compliance-driven payroll audits is highly regarded.
  • Advanced Excel skills
