This role is responsible for processing payroll (weekly and fortnightly) for a range of group entities in the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments.
You will play a key role in maintaining employee records, reconciling payroll transactions, and providing payroll-related support to internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Payroll processing (weekly & fortnightly) including timesheet management and payment processing.
- Onboarding new starters and setting them up on the system.
- Ensure payroll accuracy within the iChris system and compliance with relevant awards/agreements.
- Maintain and update employee records, including contracts, conditions, and entitlements.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure correct salary and wage allocations.
- Process payroll deductions, reconciliations, and end-of-year payroll requirements.
- Ensure secure handling and filing of payroll documentation.
- Perform other payroll-related duties as required.
- Strong payroll processing experience (preferably with iChris or similar systems).
- Excellent knowledge of award/agreement interpretations and payroll compliance.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with employees, managers, and external agencies.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
