About the Role
As a National Hygiene Manager you will be in the leadership team, responsible for leading the development and execution of a robust national sanitation strategy that upholds the highest standards across all operational sites. Reporting directly to the General Manager Quality, this role demands strong expertise in hygiene management, collaborative skills across functions, and a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement.

The key accountabilities will include formulating and implementing a comprehensive sanitation strategy in alignment with company and regulatory guidelines, fostering productive partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders such as procurement and pest control, and establishing national KPIs to enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, the role involves overseeing incident investigations and root cause analyses pertaining to hygiene and safety, while actively promoting a culture centered on safety, quality, and environmental responsibility throughout the organisation.

Skills & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Proven experience in a senior hygiene management role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of effective sanitation methodologies in food production settings, including low and high-risk environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across various functions and levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive change through structured methodologies and attention to detail.
