An exciting role with a nationally recognised organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their team. This Management Accountant position will help assist in the management and communication of the companies’ accounting activities on a national scale. Initially this will be a 9 month contract role, however there is the genuine view to become permanent after the contract.
The responsibilities
Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for providing commercial expertise to the business with a focus on strategic planning, analysis and business partnering. More specifically, your role will include:
- Weekly closing and preparing, analysing and reporting on financial performance
- Responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the financial/management accounting information at all times and consistent with the general accounting standards, principles, and policies
- Maintain effective financial / management accounting controls and systems.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Generate budget and forecast templates and financials
- Ad-hoc work as required
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and a commercially astute individual. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. A background in retail, FMCG or a product-based industry is highly desirable.
