The Inventory Controller will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing stock levels, and ensuring efficient processes for product procurement, storage, and distribution. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and experience with inventory management software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure stock availability and prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Track and analyze inventory turnover, reporting trends to senior management for decision-making.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding storage and handling of goods.
- Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies or issues.
- Generate reports on inventory status, usage patterns, and stock aging.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Controller, Inventory Manager, or similar role.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field is a plus.
