This business is a key player in the Australian manufacturing landscape. With strong internal backing and a rapidly growing local footprint, they're focused on developing safe, efficient and sustainable operations across their manufacturing sites. They are in need of a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Coordinator at their manufacturing site in Western Sydney.
Key responsibilities
This is a hands on, people-first HSE role. You will be expected to engage with the manufacturing workforce, build strong relationships and empower staff to see health and safety as everyone's responsibility.
- Lead and embed WHS&E policies, systems, and compliance requirements on site
- Coach teams on safe work practices including inductions, SOPs, JSAs, SWMS, and Lockout/Tagout
- Manage incident investigations, reporting, and return-to-work processes
- Support the rollout of HSE initiatives and site-based risk reduction projects
- Maintain accurate records, complete audits, and ensure compliance with legislation
- Proactively engage with the workforce to drive cultural change – approachable and collaborative
- 1-3 years' experience in a health and safety role within FMCG manufacturing OR someone with strong on-site manufacturing experience who has a passion for health and safety (and willing to upskill)
- Qualifications in a relevant OHS field will be highly regarded.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
