We are partnering with an exciting property company to hire a Financial Accountant on a part time basis. You will work closely with an existing Finance team to help them across month end, tax returns and other BAU tasks. You will also have the chance to collaborate with senior stakeholder and work on ad-hoc analysis.
This is a permanent role, where you will work flexibly over three days within the Finance team. You will be able to select the three days that work best for you.
This is a role with excellent flexibility and it will also give you the opportunity to grow your accounting skills.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Month-end management reporting.
- Month-end reconciliations.
- Perform reconciliations.
- Prepare and lodge GST returns.
- Accurately calculate and submit payroll tax and PAYG.
- Provide support for ad hoc analyses, including variance checks and round robin reviews during month-end.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders, participate in meetings, and provide cross-team support.
- Adhoc tasks.
- CA/CPA qualification or studying towards.
- Experience working as an Accountant.
- Ideally experience in the property or a related industry.
- A willingness to be challenged and a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with prior examples of stakeholder management experience.
