Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to strengthen their finance team and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
About the Role:
As a Management Accountant, you will work closely with the Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include overseeing reconciliations, managing intercompany finances, and preparing critical monthly financial reports. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in infrastructure or similar industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations for all group companies, adhering to month-end deadlines.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations, trade debtor, creditor, and GST reconciliations in line with the monthly schedule.
- Ensure timely preparation and analysis of asset utilisation and revenue reports, while handling associated journal entries.
- Assist with preparing monthly board reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and other financial statements, providing detailed commentary on performance.
- Support compliance tasks such as BAS lodgements and GST submissions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to handle cost recovery, asset billing processes, and budget reconciliations.
- Business partnering with senior leaders and operational stakeholders
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements within the finance department, focusing on enhanced reporting systems and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards it).
- Ideal for 1st movers from charted firms, mid tier or Big 4.
- Strong experience in management/ financial accounting as well as Business Partnering
- Advanced Excel skills
