The Role
As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly financial reports, managing intercompany transactions, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. You will work closely with key stakeholders to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports and statements
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Support tax compliance, including BAS, FBT, and income tax returns
- Assist in payroll accounting and reporting
- Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations
- Support external audit processes and financial reporting
- Collaborate with offshore teams to meet key financial objectives
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards it)
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting
- Knowledge of IFRS and tax legislation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and meet strict deadlines
