Reporting to the Chief Accountant and working within a team of talented finance professionals within the business. You will be responsible for providing a wide range of accounting functions, primarily focused around financial and audit issues. You will work closely with other members in the accounting team with a collaborative approach to achieving financial reporting outcomes.
This is a vital role within the financial accounting team, offering career opportunities and development within a large, complex commercial business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of all transactional, accounting and reporting needs for relevant divisions
- Preparation of month end reporting within allocated timelines
- Provide commentary around variances in monthly results
- Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to support annual audits
- Perform in-depth analysis of the general ledger, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or irregularities.
- CA/CPA or equivalent qualification
- Proven track record in a financial accounting role within a commercial environment or comprehensive experience within a Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firm
- Aspirational nature with a drive to achieve outcomes and further develop yourself and career
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
