This is a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Accountant or an Assistant Accountant who is ready to take their next step up into a Financial Accountant role. This role will give give you the opportunity to join a growing startup in the exciting 'tech for good' space.
In this role you will partner closely with key leaders in the business, whilst looking after AP, AR, the general ledge and payroll.
You will also have the opportunity to build relationships with key stakeholders and get involved with system improvement projects!
About the role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Preparation and review of month-end processing, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling.
- Prepare and present timely financial reports to senior management.
- Manage AP/AR, payroll, and procurement.
- Identify financial risks and establish asset safeguards.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
- Optimize costs and identify efficiency improvements
- Identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Ad hoc project work.
- CA/CPA qualification or working towards.
- Experience in a financial accounting or assistant accountant role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Experience within a small and dynamic team will be considered highly advantageous.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
