A national leader within the industry, my client is seeking an ambitious and motivated Financial Accountant. My client would consider an experienced Assistant Accountant who is seeking a step-up in their career into a Financial Accountant role.
My client is located within North Sydney where they are close to public transport and offer 1-2 days work from home benefits. The Role
Reporting directly to the Group Financial Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Management for end of day processing and reporting of sales against budget for all sites.
- Review and in some cases preparation of daily bank reconciliations for all group bank accounts.
- Preparation of month end work-papers and debtors reconciliation process.
- Preparation and processing of general journal entries to correctly reflect the accounting treatment of transactions as necessary.
- Monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Preparation of working papers and schedules to meet audit requirements.
Provide support to the Finance Manager in dealing with external audit queries. - Supporting the Finance Manager and Group FC with financial analysis and reporting as required.
- Reconciliation of bank statements to the general ledger.
- Assist the Accounts Payable team when required.
- Appropriate tertiary degree qualifications in accounting.
- Prior experience in a similiar role Financial Accountant or an Assistant Accountant who is seeking a step-up.
- CPA/CA Qualification or studying towards it.
- Enthusiastic, energetic and motivated approach to work.
- Ability to work both independently and within a flexible team environment.
