About the role:
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this newly established role offers an exciting opportunity to internalize and lead the finance function of the company. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and structure to the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, data integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial statements for a multinational.
- Year- and month-end closing and consolidation of entities.
- Create monthly management and cashflow reporting.
- Conduct analysis on variances, margins, and KPIs.
- Oversee tax and compliance requirements, including FBT, GST, BAS, and payroll tax.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
- Manage external part-time bookkeeper activities.
- Seek improvements in systems and processes (MYOB).
- Oversee stock and inventory reporting.
- Manage banking and insurance requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors.
Ideally, you are CA/CPA qualified with demonstrated experience working for an SME sub $50m. You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role with strong process improvement skills. Your communication and interpersonal skills allow you to partner effectively with the wider business and senior management. Experience using MYOB and intermediate Excel skills will be beneficial.
