The Role
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will key member of a team responsible for ensuring the organization achieves its financial targets. Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Providing key support in preparation of the annual budget, including populating budget templates and liaising with various stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain and facilitate the use of financial models, tools & processes to ensure organisational growth and financial sustainability.
- Providing financial support to staff at various levels to develop their understanding of organisational targets via the budget and analytical processes.
- Supporting with the development of Business Intelligence dashboards ensuring relevant, timely and accurate KPIs are reported to stakeholders across the organisation.
- Assisting in the preparation of month end reporting and commentary for financial and non-financial KPI results.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results against budget and forecast, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and analytical tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.
The Ideal Candidate
- Initial career from mid-tier or Big 4 and preferably with human services experience (e.g. healthcare / aged care / disability etc.)
- Ability to partner and influence senior customer facing stakeholders
- Roster optimization and Award/EBA analysis experience (desirable)
- You enjoy leading and nurturing a team of 10 capable staff and have the ability to help staff deliver to their full potential
- Are comfortable with ambiguous scenarios and can determine a way forward with regard to what’s important (and what’s not)
- Enjoy challenging the norm and seek incremental change through tools including MS Query/PowerBI and ideally MS CoPilot (the organization is working on adopting of AI for decision support)
