My client, a national retailer, seeks a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and database management. They will be responsible for optimizing and automating our reporting systems, performing data validation, and utilizing various tools to provide actionable insights. This role requires a proactive approach to continuously improving BI processes and collaborating with different departments to meet data requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize and Automate Reporting Systems: Transition manual reports to advanced tools like Power BI and Tableau to streamline and enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Database Querying: Utilize SQL for querying databases to extract relevant data for in-depth analysis.
  • BI Process Improvement: Continuously improve BI processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
  • Data Validation and Quality Checks: Perform thorough data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Data Analysis Tools Utilization: Use various data analysis tools and software, including Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Python, to perform comprehensive analysis.
  • Script and Query Development: Develop scripts and queries for data extraction and manipulation based on project requirements.
  • Data Collection and Organization: Collect and organize raw data from multiple sources, including ERP systems and APIs, ensuring it is ready for analysis.
  • Statistical Analysis: Utilize statistical methods and tools to interpret data and generate meaningful insights.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with ERP systems (Pronto).
  • Proficiency in SQL for database querying.
  • Strong experience with BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Familiarity with data analysis software and programming languages, including Python.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and tools for data interpretation.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and data mining methodologies.
  • Experience in automating data workflows and reporting processes.
  • Certification in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or data analysis is a plus.
