Our client is on the hunt for a dedicated and professional Customer Service Officer to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis (potential for perm for the right candidate).
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will act as a key liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- Manage inbound and outbound customer communications via phone, email, and live chat.
- Process customer orders, returns, and exchanges efficiently and accurately.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through open and interactive communication.
- Handle customer complaints professionally, providing timely solutions and following up to ensure resolution.
- Identify and assess customer needs to drive satisfaction and improve service delivery.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, transactions, and feedback in the CRM system.
- Stay updated on company products and assist customers with product selection and inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, finance, and logistics, to address customer concerns and improve processes.
- Monitor order status and coordinate with logistics for timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate customer data in CRM and ERP systems.
- Ensure a safe working environment and comply with workplace health and safety standards.
- Minimum 2+ years experience in customer service or a related field.
- Strong customer service mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to build rapport with customers and maintain a professional, courteous phone manner.
- Target-driven with a focus on enhancing customer satisfaction and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); CRM experience is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong numerical skills and a problem-solving attitude.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.
