About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Head of Finance, you will play a key role in providing financial and operational insights to optimise procurement, supplier management, and inventory control. This position is responsible for delivering data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. You will collaborate with operations managers across multiple locations, helping to enhance business efficiency and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret data from MYOB Exo and manipulate using Excel to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop financial models and business cases to support commercial and operational decisions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for supply chain operations
- Provide insights into supply chain, inventory, procurement, and operational performance.
- Partner with non-finance stakeholders to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
- Work closely with senior leadership to drive process improvements and efficiencies.
- Collaborate with operations and finance teams to improve inventory management and working capital efficiency
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly performance dashboards to the Department Leads and MD
- Assist Head of Finance with preparation on Monthly Management reporting pack
- Strong Excel skills – ability to build financial models and work with large data sets.
- Experience in a commercially focused finance or analyst role, ideally within a distribution, supply chain, or product-based business.
- Experience working with large volumes of stock and inventory
- Ability to engage and influence non-finance stakeholders, translating data into meaningful insights.
- A proactive and analytical mindset with a strong commercial acumen.
- A high-impact role with direct exposure to senior leadership.
