Due to an existential growth, our client is an Australian owned retailer and leader in the ecommerce space. They are seeking a talented Commercial Analyst to join the team. This role will provide critical financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making across the business. The Commercial Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to drive performance, improve processes, provide financial insights and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
The Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, the main duties will include;
- Work with Finance and FP&A to understand monthly financial performance across the division and any variances to Plan or Forecast, then work with stakeholders to address any area of concerns
- Actively involved in identifying and assessing key business unit risks and opportunities, conducting sensitivity analysis and effective change management
- Execute the monthly management reporting
- Be the key financial contact for nominated SLT members, be able to communicate information and insights to drive successful business outcomes by translating management information into actionable plans
- Liaise closely with ELT and SLT members to proactively identify areas of revenue/profit improvement and risk
- month end process and process improvement projects
- Ad hoc analysis and projects
You are CA/CPA qualified (or almost completed). You have at least 3 years experience in a commercial / FP&A role, with experience engaging extensively outside of finance and across the organisation. Your interpersonal and communication skills are first class, allowing you to gain the confidence of and develop strong professional relationships. You will have worked in a retail, online, fmcg or similar environment (ideal but not essential). High level Excel skills are essential to your success in this role.
