About the Role:
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the business. This high-impact role will oversee financial reporting, risk management, procurement, IT transformation, and investment strategies. The ideal candidate will be a visionary finance leader with a proven track record in change management, operational excellence, and commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and mentor finance, procurement, and IT teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Provide expert financial oversight, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Lead transformational change initiatives, aligning financial strategies with business objectives.
- Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to optimise performance and profitability.
- Oversee investment strategies, capital management, and cash flow optimisation.
- Implement a robust procurement framework to enhance compliance, cost efficiency, and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead the IT and digital transformation strategy, enhancing operational efficiencies and leveraging technology for performance improvement.
- Provide strategic advice to the CEO, Board, and executive leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards.
- CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive experience in senior financial leadership, ideally as a CFO or in an equivalent finance executive role.
- Proven ability to lead financial transformation and process improvements in complex environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost management, profitability drivers, and strategic financial planning.
- Expertise in property, aged care, retirement living, or a consumer-driven business is highly regarded.
- Experience with investment strategies, capital management, and property development financing.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
