As an Accounts Payable Team Leader, you'll play a crucial role in driving financial operations forward and making a significant impact on their success.
Your Responsibilities
As the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading the end-to-end payables process, ensuring compliance with accounting practices and driving process improvement initiatives.
- Managing escalations and providing timely resolutions to ensure smooth operations.
- Providing input into weekly cash flow forecasting and contributing to strategic financial planning.
- Leading, coaching, and developing the Accounts Payable team to foster a culture of excellence and compliance.
- Ensuring accurate GST/VAT recording and compliance, and maintaining relevant KPIs for the Accounts Payable function.
- Assisting with audits, conducting financial investigations, and adhering to month-end timelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Business or related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, regulations, and guidelines.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with finance systems, preferably Oracle, and retail accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
