An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on 12 Month Contract with opportunity for extension. The position focuses less on invoice processing and more on collaboration with both external and internal stakeholders. The office is conveniently located in Martin Place and allows for hybrid work arrangements. The role is best suited to someone with excellent communication skills and great attention to detail. 

About the Role:

Reporting to the Accounting Manager and working collaboratively among a close knit team, the role will include but not be limited to:
  • Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process including acting as the point of contact between third party providers internal accounting
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes and preparation of accounts payable reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as procurement and finance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
About You:
  • Experienced Accounts Payable officer (minimum 5+ years experience)
  • Previous experience with SAP is essential and Microsoft D365 is desirable.
  • Good understanding about daily accounts payable operation (payment proposal, expense report, vendor invoicing and communication)
  • Good knowledge about month-end accruals, bank statement reconciliation, GL journals, accounts reconciliation and coding
  • Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, a willingness to provide support in a team environment, and have a keen eye for detail.
