Job Overview:
Our client are seeking an experienced PM Warehouse Supervisor to oversee afternoon warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will manage a team of warehouse staff, ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe operations across receiving, storing, picking, and dispatch processes. You’ll play a vital role in optimising workflows, maintaining high standards, and ensuring that daily targets and KPIs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the PM warehouse team to ensure productivity and safety targets are achieved.
- Oversee receiving, inventory management, picking, and packing operations.
- Coordinate dispatch to ensure timely delivery and maintain DIFOT standards.
- Manage workforce scheduling, allocate resources, and cross-train staff to maximize efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations.
- Ensure optimal space utilization and inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with the transport team to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Lead by example, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and report on key operational metrics (KPIs) to senior management.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor in a fast-paced food, FMCG, or logistics environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and dispatch processes.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices (particularly food safety and OH&S).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work the PM shift (typically afternoon into the evening).
