About the role
Join a well-established Australian brand and make an impact in a dynamic finance team. Our client are looking for a skilled Tax & Treasury Accountant to support with tax compliance, cash flow management, and process improvement initiatives.
The responsibilities
Reporting into a Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Prepare income tax and fringe benefits tax returns.
- Review and submit monthly BAS.
- Produce monthly reporting outputs for Finance.
- Assist in managing liquidity and cashflow forecasting.
- Stay updated with changes in tax legislation.
- Review monthly BAS submissions.
- Complete annual deferred tax reporting.
- Review payroll tax obligations.
- Implement process improvements and automated tax compliance solutions.
- Provide ad hoc tax advice
- Assist in maintaining the group’s transaction banking obligations, including bank account management and platform oversight.
- Monitor and manage cash balances.
- Produce monthly reporting outputs for Finance.
- Assist in managing liquidity and cashflow forecasting.
- Stay updated with changes in tax legislation and advise management on the impact of new laws on the business.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities to manage audits and resolve any tax-related issues.
Ideally, you will be either part or fully CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have some exposure in a Tax Accountant role, possessing 1-5 years experience.
