About The Role
- Collaborate with project managers to understand and fulfill project-specific purchasing needs.
- Conduct market research to identify suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and establish supplier agreements.
- Implement cost-saving strategies and expedite deliveries to meet project deadlines.
- Oversee daily procurement activities, including issuing purchase orders (POs), managing vendor relationships, and performing cost analyses.
- Utilise MRP system to track orders and inventory, ensuring alignment with project schedules.
- Lead procurement efforts for multiple projects, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Collaborate with project teams to address material requirements and resolve supply chain challenges.
- Qualify and evaluate suppliers through site visits, financial due diligence, and adherence to procurement policies.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Well-developed negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or related industries.
- Familiarity with procurement for large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel functions.
- Experience with lean methodologies and process optimisation.
- Knowledge of compliance standards and financial due diligence in supplier management
