About the Role
This Senior Financial Accountant role is ideal for a first mover from a Big 4 or mid-tier firm or a seasoned professional looking to elevate their career in a high-performing environment. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, driving process improvements, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing month-end processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal postings.
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Supporting the preparation of profit and loss statements and financial reporting packs.
  • Assisting with BAS lodgements and compliance reporting.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
  • Supporting the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to graduate accountants.
  • Collaborating with auditors during year-end processes and providing necessary documentation.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • A strong technical accounting foundation, ideally gained through public practice or a commercial environment.
  • Proven experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
  • Advanced Excel skills and exposure to ERP systems
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with internal stakeholders.
