About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing critical financial insights that support strategic planning and operational decision-making. This role involves ownership of month-end financial processes, statutory reporting, and a variety of financial analysis tasks. As a key player in the finance team, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate on high-impact projects and influence the company’s future growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the month-end process, including preparing and processing adjustment journals, accruals, and monthly management reports.
  • Perform variance analysis, provide insightful commentary, and assist with board reporting.
  • Prepare BAS, FBT, and other statutory returns, along with half-year and annual statutory reports.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes to inform strategic financial planning.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, CAPEX registers, and daily management reporting distribution.
  • Work with the finance team on ad hoc projects and deliverables, ensuring business requirements are met.
Skills and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business; CA/CPA accreditation preferred.
  • Ideal for Big4 or Mid-Tier first mover
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role, with strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities; experience with Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time management.
  • Ability to connect financial insights with broader commercial goals and communicate effectively across teams.
