About the Role:

As part of their continued investment in procurement, our client is looking for a Senior Sourcing Specialist to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in South-East Melbourne.

In this newly created role, you’ll lead sourcing and supplier management across key procurement categories like Transport, Warehousing, Materials Handling Equipment, Consumables, Utilities, and Labour. You’ll work closely with the Senior Procurement Manager, Asia Pacific and teams across Australia and New Zealand to drive value, improve supplier performance, and help shape procurement strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead tenders and sourcing projects across major spend categories
  • Review and renegotiate contracts to improve value and service
  • Run RFx events – from identifying suppliers to final recommendations
  • Work with Legal and Finance to ensure contracts are commercially sound
  • Set and monitor supplier KPIs (cost, service, safety, compliance)
  • Align sourcing plans with business and operational needs
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations
  • Improve supplier onboarding and sourcing processes
  • Support long-term category planning
  • Stay on top of market trends and supplier innovations
About You:

You’re a results-driven procurement professional who knows how to manage sourcing from start to finish and can work well with both internal teams and external partners.

Key Requirements:
  • A degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 5+ years of procurement or sourcing experience
  • Strong experience in tenders, contract negotiation, and supplier management
  • Excellent analytical and planning skills
  • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience using procurement CRM tools
  • Knowledge of sustainable and ethical procurement practices
  • Worked in multi-country or regional sourcing roles
  • Familiarity with regulated industry standards
