Our client, a well-established retail marketing group, are looking for an ambitious Senior Payroll Officer to join their growing employee workforce. This role is bets suited to an experienced payroll officer who is passionate about process improvement, innovation and collaboration!
The Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of fortnightly and monthly payrolls for both Australia and New Zealand
- System & Process Improvement: Assist in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of payroll systems
- Reporting & Lodgement: Support the Payroll Manager in preparing and collating monthly superannuation reports for lodgement across all payrolls
- Audit Support: Support the Payroll Manager during internal and external audit processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely responses.
- Workers' Compensation: Perform workers' compensation calculations for fortnightly and monthly employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with requirements
- 3+ years of high volume payroll experience in medium to large organization
- Strong understanding of complex payroll systems
- Strong understanding of interpreting Awards, and payroll-related legislation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, IF formulas)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Experience with New Zealand payroll systems is highly regarded
