The Organisation
Our client is a highly successful national organisation, with a long standing and respected name in the industry. With a strong commitment to both internal and external stakeholders, this organisation has been able to expand over recent years to become an instantly recognisable business. Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their team on a permanent basis, and support the Payroll Manager with the team & payroll operations. 

Role & Responsibilities 
Join a supportive and dynamic environment, and assist in leading a close knit team in ensuring that payroll is processed accurately. Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
  • Providing support to the Payroll Manager - oversee and assist with the efficient functioning of a medium sized payroll team
  • Ensure the weekly payroll is processed accurately for 1,000+ employees
  • Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiency
  • Interpretation of various / relevant EBA's, awards and entitlements
  • Calculations of payroll tax, superannuation and work cover
  • Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
  • Handle escalated payroll queries
  • Additional tasks to assist the Payroll Manager and boarder team

Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have previous proven extensive payroll experience and ability to operate as an effective leader. The role is suited to attract high calibre candidates, who are seeking future growth and development. They will also have the following attributes:
