Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance with policies, awards, and agreements
- Manage payroll reporting and provide insights for budgeting and workforce planning
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of salaries, benefits, deductions, and superannuation
- Assist in streamlining payroll processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related queries and issues
- Stay updated on payroll legislation, taxation, and compliance requirements
- Extensive experience in payroll, ideally within government or council sectors
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Strong interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
