The Senior FP&A Analyst role will be a broad and dynamic one requiring you to partner closely with key stakeholders across the business to provide timely and accurate financial insights to support commercial decision-making.
More specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
- Own the facilitation and consolidation of the weekly reporting
- Demonstrate and in depth understanding of P&L drivers from sales, gross margin and EBT.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, identifying trends, insights, opportunities, and areas for improvement FP&A process.
- Provide strategic recommendations to support the organisations financial objectives and operational efficiencies.
- Prepare monthly updates of key variances and movements (including review of group month end reporting deliverables).
- Develop, Build and Maintain budgeting and forecasting models.
- Provide support for all future state forecasting and scenario analysis to support key strategic decisions.
- Collaborate closely with executive and the Financial Business Partnering teams to provide financial insights that drive informed decision-making across the organisation
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Own the end-to-end budget process, including integrity of related financial planning models and tools.
- Work with manager to ensure consistency in data in actual versus budget.
- Working with finance team to establish and achieve agreed budget/forecast SLAs.
- Preparation of Budgeting and Forecasting Packs.
- Ensure budgets align to targets provided by group and work with the wider team to ensure alignment.
The successful candidate will be:
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in a fast paced and high performing environment
- FMCG or Retail experience an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in a genuinely commercial role covering performance insights and business planning and budgeting.
- Previous experience working in a complex FP&A organisation desirable
- Demonstrated ability to provide value adding commercial and business advice to senior management.
- Proven ability to develop effective partnerships between support and business functions.
- Critical and objective thinker with strong, cross functional problem-solving skills. Be curious.
- Demonstrated success in facilitating across functional teams to achieve alignment and shared understanding
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce or business, with accounting or finance majors.
- Hold an ICAA or CPA qualification
