This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a well respected Property business in Australia. This role will allow you to partner closely across the business with multiple divisions, including the Tax team. In this role, you will also have a direct report (Financial Accountant) and be given the opportunity to develop your skills as a manager. This role will also allow you to take a lead role with month end reporting as well as assisting with Asset sales.
The Responsibilities
Reporting into the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Month end management reporting.
- Month end reconciliations.
- Preparation of audit committee and board reporting.
- Prepare year end tax calculations and partner closely with the tax team.
- Support system implementations and internal improvements.
- Assist with external audits.
- Accounting advisory
- Ensure that ASIC / AASB / IFRS requirements are met.
- Ad-hoc requests.
- CA/CPA qualified.
- Senior Big4 first or Mid Tier first mover.
- Willing to be challenged and proactive in their approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and examples of prior stakeholder management experience.
